The personal information you supply in this application form will be stored and used by the Council for the purpose of assessing suitability for employment, and may be retained for administrative purposes if you are subsequently employed by us. The Council undertakes not to disclose the information to any third party without first seeking your consent, unless it is required to do so under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (or any other law or regulation to which the Council is or may become subject).
Freedom of Information Act 2000
The Council is a public authority for the purposes of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and is subject to its terms. This means that it has a duty to respond to requests for information from the public and to provide certain information on request unless that information falls within certain exemptions that are specified in the Act. One of these exemptions applies to personal information.
